For the coupling between the truck and trailer decoder you need a connecting cable. with both sides an 8-pin connector that fits into the update connector of the truck and the trailer. The cable has three cores and can also be used as power cable for trailer decoder.
If the trailer decoder has its own battery you need to remove the red wire!
